After losing his father, Adam Patrick took on menial jobs to support his siblings through school. Even after he completed his apprenticeship as a weaver, he could not start working, because he could not afford the materials.
Rights Action Ghana provided him with weaving thread and the materials he needed to start work.
Adam now runs his own smock business, and demand for his products has been overwhelming. He serves many customers. His income supported two of his siblings, who completed junior high school in 2025, and he takes care of another sibling in senior high school. With his income he has also cultivated two hectares of groundnuts and two hectares of maize.
When Rights Action Ghana stepped in to support me, it felt like a lifeline. This support has truly transformed my life and my family’s future.
