Youth Empowerment

Youth Empowerment

Through the Youth Employment and Skills (YES) Project Phase II, Rights Action Ghana empowers young people, especially women, with employable and entrepreneurial skills to foster self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods.

Overview

Rights Action Ghana (RAG) is addressing youth unemployment by equipping young people with the tools, skills, and confidence to create sustainable livelihoods. In 2024, RAG delivered comprehensive vocational and entrepreneurship training across Kukua, Banawa, Gaagbini, Sayoo, and Sandanfong communities. These programs covered tailoring, hairdressing, welding, and business management, empowering participants to start their own enterprises and contribute to community development.

  • Trained youth in vocational trades such as tailoring, hairdressing, and welding.
  • Delivered entrepreneurship and financial literacy training sessions.
  • Provided start-up kits and mentorship for new business creation.
