Advocacy & Leadership

Advocacy & Leadership

Rights Action Ghana promotes leadership and governance capacity among youth and women to strengthen participation, accountability, and inclusive community development.

Overview

RAG believes that real change begins when young people and women have the knowledge and confidence to lead. In 2024, the organization worked to strengthen leadership and advocacy capacity through training, mentorship, and community dialogue. These initiatives ensured that local voices, especially those of youth and women, were represented in decision-making spaces and community governance structures.

What We Did

  • Trained youth and women leaders in governance, civic participation, and advocacy.
  • Facilitated community dialogues between local authorities and citizens to promote inclusion and accountability.
  • Encouraged gender equality and the active participation of women in community leadership roles.
  • Supported youth to take on leadership roles in local development committees.
